Hyun-Ah Cho

I recently discovered Hyun-Ah Cho's florally imbued photographs. In her statement she asserts:

"My work explores and exaggerates the thin and delicate line between fiction and reality where our notion of what is real becomes ungraspable. Nature has become an artefact like a museum. The representation of collected plants and their arrangement for display within controlled man-made environments have become a diorama, a space of in-between, where our notion of what is the real is constantly shifting. I believe that the medium of photography is in-between a represented reality and representing a new reality, and my work expresses a place that is neither fabricated fiction nor an accepted reality grounded on firm foundations."
